Greb also noticed a fair number of "Traffic Jams" (just looking back at the beta notes.)

I wonder if the problem is that the script cannot find the type of station it needs to keep moving. Or perhaps it cannot find a friendly station of the correct type.

If you see this paused traffic, could you make a note of the owning faction and the type of cargo? (so we can guess what the purpose of the freight run is, station supply, or picking up trade goods).

Mdvalley: We really want to support player flown freighters in the Traffic release. It all depends on if we can rewrite the weapons loadout code. The PS loadout limits the player to 4 ships. Once replaced, there could be a dozen kinds of player ships.

I just checked the download stats and the mod crossed 300 today, which is a larger community than I imagined from the number of active posts. 70 downloads of the patch, so those must have been new installs. A few more mods might just revive this community.

Had a crash to desktop but couldn't replicate it... so no new information there. Was traveling to metal refinery and about the time the station model should appear experienced the crash. Not a standard crash; Black screen, then desktop but engine sounds still running. Throws error with loader.exe.

Not seeing any traffic jams at all tonight. Perhaps it was just a fluke.

Not really a bug, but: Is there anywhere to sell pirated cargo? Every single fence and station says no. Is there a simple 'we'll take anything' location in the starting system? Or anywhere else?

Yes, I hit that problem as well, so I wrote a "Pod Scrapper" ship which flys in the Truck utility. They take anything, but only pay 100 per pod. You can find them around any shipyard (so there is one at your starting location). Hope that helps.

Let me know if that crash shows up again. If it does start happening, could you turn on developer mode and then send me a flux.log from a fresh crash. Many things happen when a player gets near a station (like setting up all the fences and hired ships and stuff). Thanks!

I haven't played MS that much since installed it (it unexpectingly ereased all my previous game mod files...)

I've been trying to rob someone with my weak tug and not much luck... :D I especially like the system damage feature in this mod; I experience more noticible system damage than any pervious mod... I'm not sure if the AI ship will experience the same damage as we do... any answer?

also, do all the ships' ini files from the original "source.zip" from the game? If we want to add/modify some of the ship files, where do we go this time? I am used to unleashed+firepower mods where they made the bigger ships incredibly tough... if i am to do it here, should i modify files directly from "source.zip"...?

pls give me some tips... and the idea of having a life pod ejected after being destroy is quite nice.. :D

The only ships we have changed are the player ships. And those are in "MS_Mod_Ships". If you want, you can turn that mod off, and use the player ships from another mod.

You can also add the non-player ships from another mod. We did not test Unleashed (or any other mod) with MStates. It might work... Any mod, like Elite that just changes the ships should work fine. Install Epic first. Turn off the player ships, and then add the other mod second.

The system damage applies to all ships. PBC weapons do the most system damage. And you can shoot the guns off of NPC ships pretty easily (they repair pretty fast however).

Alright, I got a small jam at the Azran Exotic Processing plant in Emerald. A SNRV “Numbskull� was hooked to the pod spewer, with no pods on it. There were 2 mega freighters and a SNRV in line. All ships were of Azran registry, except for some random CDF patrol. As I was jotting this down, a third mega freighter with escort arrived and sat in line.

I just realized I haven’t heard any music yet in game. When is it supposed to come on?

And all the stars are plain yellow. It wouldn’t take me an hour to tweak the map and lws files to color them right and mail them to you, if you want them that way.
