Before Clay will let Cal pilot the Storm Petrel, he must complete the training course situated near Lucrecia's Base.

Cal has sucessfully piloted through the Ring Course, and is now ready to take a little tour of Hoffer's Wake.

Pleased with Cal's performance, Wolfgang Spielman offers the second job. He can be located at Charlesworth Freighter Depot in orbit around Ariane in Hoffer's Wake.

Cal has now completed the missions given to him by Wolfgang Spielman. Clay suggests they turn their attention to liberating new fuel rods for the base from the Junkyard.

After stealing the fuel rods from the reactor core in the Junkyard, Cal is sent to pick up his father's flitter from the lockup at Hoffer's Gap. Clay will stay behind to make repairs to the base.
