When I start the game I am getting a mission tracker is not install. I try to jump out to another sector and was unable to do so. as of now I am stuck in 1 cluster.

I had try to uninstall and reinstall US first. I am still getting the same ( mission tracker is not install) So I install torn star on top of that and the game went back to tornStart, but still getting ( mission tracker is not install)
I can not capsal jump to another cluster, all I could jump are the 2 Lpoint in the same sector.

The mission tracker thing ( I think ) is something left over from vanilla EoC, or some kinda debug thing. It's not relevent to US and has no effect on the game as I can tell. There isn't any way to "install" the mission tracker, so don't worry about it.
The capsule jump works fine on my end. Are you hitting the TAB key within 200k of the L-Point? Lori has to set the jump destination for capsule jumps. Do you have fuel? ect..

I did not know I have to hit the TAB key to have lori brining up the capsule jump.
On my 3th try I LDS from Commom metals mine 1 to commom metals mine 2 then cash into the mime while in LDS using F6 to get to commom metal proce... Needless to say I lost all my wingman. But they come back once I click on their group and have them defend me.
I gave up.. This trade thing are way to hard to complet.

Ok I finally got back to playing the game this Sunday. My first question is. Am I supposed to be able to get to Epitaph from Penda? In the old game I could, now I cannot. I tried every capsule jump, from every L-point I could find. I had to go thru Li-Po, Kronholm, Watts, and then thru Lombard. I tried this from the capsule jump option and the pirate option.
My goal was to find the Defense machines and start a fight. From the pirate option I finally did find my way their. Of course since my weapons drop off line at about 75% I found myself flying around and getting shot up pretty thoroughly. It took a long time (1hr maybe) to get everything in the ship back on line. Of ourse my opponents in the game could keep shooting even below 60% of their health left.
Please don't take my comments as a critisism, It is only I have not figured out how to play the game well just yet.
That leads me to my second question. Is that fair? Is that the way you designed the game or just a trial run? It seems that I cannot defeat anyone in the game by myself, however they (my opponents) can put me out of commission in a couple of minutes. Then I am forced to run, or die.
I remember reading a lot about the balance of weapons, If I were to go up against 4 heavy corvettes and try to take some cargo from their freighter I think I would need 15 wingmen, to make it a shortish battle. I am not sure i could have any success at all with less than 10 warships. I had to shoot a 10 pod freighter 20 times (or something like that) to get him/her to drop their cargo. Meanwhile my guys are not doing too much damage to the escorts.
My third question. Am I supposed to be able to refuel my fleet at any station from 12 k away?
While I was in Penda, at the Nandini L-point, I found both Customs and Pirates at the L-point, They were not fighting each other, and since I did not have any cargo I was able to go free immediatley. Is this what you are hoping to see? With cargo at other places I have been able to run without any trouble. Am I supposed to be able to run and not get into a fight?
Last issue. While in the Emerald system I was traveling from Beryl to Kirby L-points I had a 1/2 inch wide gray stripe running from the top to the bottom of my screen at almost a straight line. I was able to see planet, and space details thru this stripe, It was just a detraction, from the game.
Anyway the defense machines are awesome- I want to go in with some huge firepower, and do battle. Maybe a couple of carriers and 30 warships. The capsule jumps work perfect. from unstable to deadly. I can trade cargo, I can pirate cargo, and sell it to other stations, Even though it is stolen. You guys have done some nice work. I hope I haven't rambled too much and I hope my story helps.

The combat features are currently not working as we would like. In the next release, I am going to pull out all combat related features until we can give them a working over, including the combat starts.
The tolls won't chase you. It is an complex issue related to culling and one I plan to fix when working on the combat scripting.
Many of the jump routes have become hidden and need to be explored. The Nalinas Lpoint has a route leading to Epitaph (at least in the cluster building file).
On the issue of the selling cargo pods, the best I can do is an excel spreadsheet that shows what kinds of stations use what cargo. The Nav GUI can let you search for different classes of stations.

I think the only point I was trying to make about cargo pods was that I was able to steal, buy and sell them. I actually have a nice Guide to all the stations in Torn Stars, by star system, and the cargo they buy and sell.
Of course it looks like I'll have to expand it quite a bit for the new places and factions when Unstable Space is finalized.
I'll get to Nalinas to verify that the route to Epitaph is really their and working. I think I confused myself by trying out all the different features in too short a time. You know real life gets in the way of fun sometimes.
