Station Save is a single player modification for Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos.

Installation
Requirements:
1. Independence War 2: Edge of Chaos version F14.6
2. UniGUI
3. Multimod

First place this zip file ( troutStationSave.zip ) in your ./IWar2/mods directory. When you start Edge of Chaos you must select StationSave in the 'Extras' menu.

About Station Save Ver 1.0
Station Save gives the player the illusion of being able to save then game when docked to any station.

The purpose of the mod is to allow a more free form of play.

This mod is not recommended for use during the normal single player campaign.

Using Station Save
Dock your ship to a station.

Activate UniGUI (CTRL+ALT+U), select "UniGUI Extension Menu", press "Load Screen".

Select "Save Game", press "Run".

The screen will darken, "Loading" will appear, and you will be taken inside Lucretia's Base.

When you leave Lucretia's Base by pressing "Hanger" and "Launch", the game will start with you docked to the station where you last saved.

True Free Form

Station saver allows you to save in any cluster. You will no longer have to fly back through the jump accelerator.

Notes
Traffic is randomly recreated when you launch, so may be different than when you saved. Also, if a mission fails when you leave a station, using this mod will cause the mission to fail. (This is because the mod teleports the player back to base).
