what is a"mod" anyway? i'm not sure because its a new word for my english.
and where can i find websites to download different cool things like those i saw here to my eoc?

'Mod' is short for modification. It is something you add to a game that adds new features, ships, weapons, missions or changes the game completely. The Middle States is a large new mod being tested. It is not released yet.
