How and/or where do Iget a better ship?

I still have the tug, and I'm starting chapter 2. Did I miss something or somewhere along the story will I get a better ship module? That tug lacks eye candy.

you can get the new ship by helping the MCA in their cargo transporting problem in mwari...after you have escorted them safetly dock to the MCA station and head back to base, see if you get the advanced patcom.
