Hi

Any tip to pass this mission?. I know what I have todo, but too many enemy ships in three diferent waves... not time to get all, wingman are destroyed...

Gah. That title rings a bell, but I can't for the life of me remember which mission this is, and searching the walkthrough for that title dosent help.

If its the mission where you have to escort three freighters to Longshot in Mwari, remember to let the freighters fully repair after each wave, before re-formating with them and continuing the mission.

Whichever mission it is, fly the Patcom (if available), remember to overpower the engines when need be, mount two t-fighters (and give them missles, the girls are trigger happy beyond belife, but they attract the enemy to attack you and not what your escorting), fire one missile (or salvo if you have weapon link and enough ammo) at each target (more attraction) and then finish off with your favorite cannons.

It's the Antimatter mission, where I have to escort an antimatter transport ship and the ship beguins to loose energy and I have to dock to maintain energy.

Oh, that one.

First thing, dock the wingmen before freighter picks up the antimatter. Leave them docked. They will just get killed if you order them to attack, but while docked they are safe and it leaves you free to take down maurauders. Pack plenty of missiles, use them to attract the enemy to you instead of the frieghter, and its not too tough. The main difficulty is getting the enemy to engage you before firing missiles at the freighter, but it can be done.

Something must be wrong with this mission, because when I played it, the freighter was destroyed due to missiles no matter what I did. After the 6th run, I used the "destroy target" cheat to destroy all of them, and even then the freighter dropped near critical hull status! Yeah, wingmen are useless unless docked to the freighter (you can tell your turret fighters to dock with it too).

The nasties just appeared on the contact list and launched missiles to the freighter about 5 seconds later. Maybe it had something to do with the player's sensor range? Dunno.

I had the best result without cheating with remote missiles. A well placed shot destroyed half the wing and annoyed the rest... most times.

I docked my T-fighters to the freighter and then engaged the enemy by myself.

But I went out and tried to meet the Marauders as far away from the transport as possible. And lobbed missiles at every one of them to get them to focus on me. Worked like a charm.

No confusion; just wrong or right ... Only Solutions
