cant jump

I cant jump in torn stars, and I dont know why. My ship has a capsul drive.
Is it because I have a wingman? Shouldnt he have a capsul drive too?

Or is there a special way I have to jump to get it to work.

if i remember right, Autopilot dont work for jumping.
You must set manualy the jump destination when you are near the jumppoint and then you can fly into the jumppoint from the right side.

I tried that too, from the nav menue, I select jump destination, and it sets my waypoint to the L point, when I engage auto pilot, it disengages.

never mind, I never tried flying through manually. that fixed it

The autopilot in Edge of Chaos skips systems sometimes (you can jump from Santa Romera straight to Hoffers Wake with the autopilot on, rather than going through the systems in between). Skipping systems breaks the economics of Torn Stars, so the only way to prevent you from skipping systems was to disable autopilot jumping. So all Lpoint jumps need to be done manually, even in-system.

Shiva hit it dead on. It was either lose the autopilot, or lose the whole economy. An easy decision in the end. Actually, looking back, it seems we got to eliminate the autopilot (something we always wanted to do), without taking any blame, as the decision was really removed from our hands.
