Issue with Drop-Down Menus and a small thought on the avatars.

Hi.
I have two things to address.
First…
I have found some issues with the drop-down menus.
They are through and through white and the text won’t appear until I hoover over it with the pointer.
It’s also the same issue with the profile description.
The Location Field is white until I hoover over it and the text appears.
I have used Edge and Firefox and same happens in both of the browsers, though the text appears slightly in Firefox.
Is it same for you or is it just me.
Second…
I don’t know if this is a problem or just some sort of setting on the website.
My avatar is utterly pixelated compared to others masterpiece looking avatars.
I have tried different resolutions and types of formats but no difference.
What is the secret to make it look sharp?
Thank you.
Regards, ErikS.

I know about all of the broken parts on this website, but I lacked the time to fix all of them, sadly. To be honest, it's an uphill battle trying to fix the current Joomla theme.
Back in 2017, I used an old Joomla 1.x theme that I hacked together to work on Joomla 3.x - it was one of the rare dark themes back then and I didn't have the time to build one completely from scratch.
Now I hacked it again to work with Joomla 4.x. The CSS is a mess, it's thousands of lines of code. Joomla 4 requires Bootstrap, but they only include a precompiled "light" version in Joomla Core, that's why some of the menus and other elements have a white background.
I really regret that I chose Joomla back in the day to build this website. Every time they release a new major version it breaks the theme and it's a lot of work to get it going again.
For now, we'll have to live with the broken parts. I started to migrate to WordPress last year (which is still planned), but that will also be a lot of work.
In the interim, I will get a more recent Joomla 4.x/5.x dark theme so the site will be more useable again until I've finished the WordPress migration.

I'm really happy with it and want to get it done basically yesterday, it's just a lot of work.
tl;dr: Joomla was a bad decision and now I have a ton of work. I'm on it.
