where is my wingman???

The walkthrough says I should have a wingman or at least that is my impression. If so, where the heck is he and how do I get the bugger to do what the walkthrough is suggesting that I do? In the interim, I delivered 10 aluminum pods one by one to the processing facility. Not fun. Please help. Thanks.

You have to hire the wingman. Look for the utilty ship (SNRV) with the flat deck. Use communication to talk to him, and then hire him.
