corrupt saves ?

the first time I ran Torn star
when opening the reputation pannel I had a whole range of factions listed there
now when I open it I view a few of them (between 1 to 3)
is this normal behavior ?

also, the first time I played ships will turn deep blue when I hired them (faction is xxxx like marauders of original game)

now they are yellow like every contact (although they still obey & have the faction "xxxx")
is this also normal behavior ?

I think not but I'm not sure
I tried reinstalling Torn Stars with no success
next step I will uninstall all EoC & restart over


edit: after rerunning the game again I found out that
somehow my latest savegames were corrupted

so the question is : is it safe to save in space instead of stations ?

upon further testing I now wonder if the problem I have comes from space saves or rather on autosaves

anyone experience corrupt saves that will exhibit the behavior I described below ?
**your fleet does not exhibit the blue "alliance" color any longer
**most of the factions disappear from the reputation pannel
**the faction "Empty" seems to be everywhere if you travel a little

Yeah just like my little bug. This bug come after my game hang and I use the auto save to restart. I have not try space save, but only been use station save, so my guess it happen to both space and station save.

However the "escape save" work fine

It sounds like the Factions are not getting created correctly by EoC after recovery from the crash.

Try restoring using a save game that is not an autosave. Only the very topmost save is an autosave. So any of the others could be used.

If that does not help, try this: Restart the game after the crash. Choose a save game. Then exit without saving. Then restart the game again and this time choosing a save that is not an autosave. This should clear any hidden files or other stored information that might have been corrupted in the crash.

also my autosaves are always buggy now, it seems
I even deleted it, loaded a game (inside station) launched my ship, left game, reloaded autosave
and there it's corrupted again

on the topic of "spacesaves" I'm not sure if it ever happened, because the corruption may have been already there when I saved some of those "spacesaves" (it was my first few hours of play, I was not really familiar with this universe yet)
