I would think the head would animate using the same kinds of channels that the ships use. Since it does not matter if the figure talks in sync with words, couldn't one of the periodic channel names be used to animate the figure? It might be worth trying with just a ball object that moves up and down. If the ball can replace Cal, then anything can be done.

At the very least, I would expect we could replace Cal with a non-moving version.

Thanks all for looking into the headshots thing. It seems like a small eyecandy thing, I know, but it has an impact on immersion that can detract from all the gaming goodness that's in there.

Thanks cambragol, also for the nice graphics and for scraping the barnacles off my favourite ship. It makes me think of the Mylene B.. It has no pods attached, so it isn't making any money.
