Act 3 Mission 6 Smoke screen

I have had the email from Hoffer telling me to meet him to start this mission but when I leave the base I cannot find the fleet anywhere. The walkthrough on this site said he should be waiting for me outside my base. Have I missed something ? The game version is 14.6 and I have the multi mod and Location finder mod running. Any help with this problem would be appriciated thank you.

Hi Bob, welcome to the board.

Check "shift o" - maybe there you'll find a meeting point.
In "my" e-mail hoffer tells me he wants to meet me, but there is no hint where.
If you can't move on, start again with your last savegame and give it a second try - or download a savegame from this site.

The mission code says the Formalhaut jump accelerator. Try heading near there.
