Oman - courage test was created by RayOK
the courage test is doing my head in!

i can lure all the mines away and have them deactivated and
be back at the pot of gold with 35 - 45 seconds to spare.

trouble it takes that long for the tug to dock to the cargo
no matter how close i get to it before pressing F8

the docking cut scene takes 25 seconds away from the docking
sequence, is there any way to turn this off???

any advice as to distances etc to cut the time down would be
appreciated. it is near the point where the disks go in the bin.

finally, is these challenges - courage, wisdom & cunning - necessary
to completing the game?

cheers
from a frustrated

Hi RayOK. I have never managed to beat this scenario without 'a little help from my friends'. And by that I mean... turret fighters! :D

Before REM-linking with the oman pratice ship, place your ship very near the minefield. Give your T-Fighters the command to 'fire at will'. Then link with the drone. As soon as the mines become active, the T-Fighters (and your ship itself if the Self-Defense Module has been installed) will blast away at the mines, clearing you a path.

This also works well with Oman test which employs Gunstars.

Good luck!

thanks for the tip, it worked a treat. i actually got the t-fighters
to dock with the training vessel. then i parked my ship at the
courage training ground and ordered the turrets to shoot my targets.

when all mines were killed i then remote controlled the training tug
and picked up the gold. with nothing to chase me i still had only
30 secs to spare upon return. goes to show !!!

anyway thanks again, now onto the next task [:I]

cheers

I never considered actually docking the t-fighters to the training vessel. God, that's original. I always had mine just standing by outside the field.

Impressive. :D

or you could do something a little simpler....stay at 31km (just above the limit) set weapons to full and use your light pbc to its full vengence :D

Simplisity is a form of sophistication 8P

Courage...that's the mine one. Eh...I just got annoyed and played dirty. Decided it should be cunning instead, and snatched the box before they turned on the mines.
