I just docked to a corvette and i'm currently towing it around. If i ever manage to get it back to base do i get to keep it?

Nope. Not at all.

However, once you finish the game, you can go into free-roam mode. Then, with the iFleet mod, you may capture ships.

[] ... just discovered, i crashed with the corvette going through a l-point where a snrv was stupidly parked in the red zone so i nipped to the nearest gov installation to swipe one of those little fighters. Surprised they didn't catch on to my little scam!

Think i'll go play toss the ship for a bit
