Speed ups and slowdowns

When playing I-war 2 I get short consecutive pulses of fast and slow game play. Sometimes it goes 2x fast especially when I click instant action.

I also can't get past the beginning section of the game. When you gets to lucrishas base in the effict it goes black and I have to restart the computer. It's a good game and I was looking forward to playing it again.

I dunno what's going on ..it sucks.. A similar thing also happens on Splinter Cell: Double Agent, but thats a different story.

You need to set your power management to Minimal Power Management
You need to go to AMD and download the Dual Core Optimizer

Or download the Windows 2000 Launcher, which can set the affinity of EoC to run on only one core.

Thats great ..I installed Dual Core Optimizer and it seems to have fixed the slowdown issues.. but now it freezes up when I try and use the main menu and I have to reinstall each time.

I guess I'll just have to go through the game without using the main menu.

Well I have figured out that it doesn't actually crash when it freezes ...but just lags on any menus and cut scenes for about 5 minutes... leaving the game pretty unplayable.
