Didn't know where else to post so I thought here was a good as any.
It seems Particle Systems is no more, thier last news update was nearly a year ago and now thier main site is closed.

Shame, they had one of the most original franchases going there....

Shame indeed!

There was a discussion of this in a thread over at the ina board (now the Atari Forums) that was started by Stephen Robertson, formerly of Particle Systems, now of Argonaut Sheffield or some such...

I still get misty eyed when My I-War game loads and I watch that brief animated Particle Systems logo appear right after the Infogrames swirly. The sound that accompanies the logo just totally means "Independence War" to me, through and through.

Things change.....at least most of the development team are still together and working on new stuff (none of which has anything to do with Independence War, unfortunately).

Shame to hear about PS. This forum is a testament to the quality and longevity of their work....I-War is one of my favourite games of all time, (think I'll load it up and have a go, just for old times sake.) and EoC deserves much praise.

The crew is still all there. They're all Argonaut now, but from what Steve says they're still a unit.

Who can say what the future holds?

Perhaps someone high up in Sheffield Argonaut is a I-War fan...

I can hope anyway... ;)
