Argh! Why do I always get this when I try to deactivate the mod?

Well, at least this time the mod didn't self-destruct, and I can still play it while I wait to solve the problem.

At that step the batch file checks if the mod is installed and you should get a query asking if you want to de-install or continue and play the mod.
The query is based on the file content in StarWarsA1/backups/ships.

What is in that folder? (a screenshot please)

As you can see, it didn't ask me anything. Except to delete some files.

No, The problem is, you didn't properly clean up the mess that was caused by the previous botched up batch runs.

We can fix it though:

1)Delete everything in StarWarsA1/backups/ships
2)create a folder named multiplayer in StarWarsA1/backups/ships

3)Go into your zipped resource to: resource/sims/ships/multiplayer
4)copy all the files in there into the folder you created in step 2.

5)Just to make sure before you run the batch file, check this:
a)In backups/maps you should have 7 .ini files and one file named vssver.scc
b) In backups/packages you also should have 7 .ini files and one file named vssver.scc

6) If that is the case you can safely run the batch. (If not don't run batch and post back. I'll send you the correct contents per email)

7)run batch and select "e" to deactivate. Make sure your SP game starts correctly. Then run the batch again. (it should just run through without a query and report that the mod is activated)

After it is activated check to see what you have in: StarWarsA1/backups/ships
(the contents should be what you copied in previously)

You mentioned Frame rates.

Rule of thumb: Bigger is slower ;)
(models:frame rates)

One reason for reduced frame rates could be that your graphic card and your network card are on the same IRQ. You can check that in your system diagnostics programms or in your System control panel

It would be best to know the exact frame rates you have and how much they vary as you move around or point your ship in different directions. To see your frame rates in game you'll have to set developer_mode=1 (thats down at the bottom of flux.ini). Then the frame rate will be shown in the upper right corner of your screen.

How did the batch test run?
