Moonbases and glowing asteroids

I do wonder though - the background mapping (the nebula effect) looks a little lo-res. Is it as good as in EoC or do the pictures do it an injustice?

Lo-res? Well, it's 16 times the size of the original EoC nebula images. The original EoC nebula were produced in 5 minutes using a photoshop plugin. Middle-States nebula were carefully crafted over a period of two years, with many many revisions. Probably what you are seeing is the contrast made with the asteroids, who are sporting wallpapered 1024by1024 textures. Which means that they are SUPER detailed, and in contrast with the Nebula, might detract from it slightly.

Anyways, I am sure once you get the Mod you will see that the Nebula are in no way lagging behind other areas of improvement.

I can vouch for the textures - you should see the space they take up in the installer!
