Loader.exe problem

I remember getting the loader.exe error. I think it was when I was trying to run some mod, but I can't remember all of the details right now.

Or maybe it was fixed by running in compatibility mode?

Sorry, I don't have Windows 10 either.

I'm...rather embarrassed that I forgot to try that. Lo and behold, when I put it in compatibility mode (Win XP SP2 for future reference) it works just fine!

I guess it's something to do with Win 10 that loader.exe doesn't like.

Schmatzler, I ran I-War on my previous PC (which also had Win 10) just fine. I guess I just forgot to put it in comp. mode this time. It looks like it just needs compatibility mode turned on, and then it pretty much works fine. Thanks for all your help, guys!

I know this problem, and can confirm that it's what happens without compatibility mode in windows 10 AND sometimes 7.
Glad you figured it out. (Literally only days before I would have seen and helped.)

Lower your display resolution in the game through the Options menu. I found I had to run 1280x800 to get it to load new games properly.
