heh, good on you
Thing is, no other chat software will work on my computer.
Do you have a microphone? If you use ventrilo i can talk to you directly. Actually, even if you do not have a microhpone you can use it as a chat programe anyhow.

Player systems and Computer controlled systems are now very equal in capabilties.
BUt there is a bad thing 360 degree sheilds which are proposed to be impossible (plasma has to vent out from somewhere and if heat can get out heat must be able to get in , esp in the form of PBCs) , took ages to hack through an enemy fleet , with the 280 sheild it was slightly easier
Ships will now chase you in different ways, according to their capabilties.
But they still seem to play wheel of death! , my I-war days have taught me to fly backwards to keep sheilds on the enemy and be able to shoot back , which then turns into a large backwards circle strafing game where they follow and shoot me going forwards , while I'm going backwards shooting back , at which more and more and more and more and more corvettes join into this circle rather than try to attack you another way (which makes them uber vulnerable to the cutting beams which is the only weapon in elite mod to use since you can chip away all day at their sheilds and they won't go down)
Captial ships are now to be feared. No really. Run.
Only the guilotine destroyer and only because it can chase you all over the place and stick missiles up your bum and hit you at almost any angle , the cruisers / carriers are still easy since they move slow don't shoot missiles at you and have blind spots where you can introduce them to the sharp end of your cutting beam and or mang rockets) , the other capital ships can be eaten for breakfast even with the tug(more escorts perhaps? , sticking extremely wide cutting beams on their turrets? , like what was that game er freespace? where capital ships used beams on each other , but on 2 they used them on you which made you go holy etc)
Actually interesting thing about beams I'll put it in the general FAQ section

ah I thought you were quoting the elite mod which can be downloaded currently , though I reckon thick beams fired from them would be pretty cool

Hey Vlad, and anyone else that wants to help for that matter. My exams are over and soon i shall finally have enough free time to really get cracking with this project!
Right now I would very much like to get a few beam weapons sorted from vlad, the ones he gave *rocked*.

OK, let´s get modding, then. I haven´t done this for some weeks now - melomania, ya know (got new speakers).
Anyways, the NPC comms laser is now ready for testing.
