Act2: Can't get Oman mission to reactivate

I initially went to the Oman HQ and when offered the chance to join them I declined after docking at Duaralsalem(orwhatever). Now after putting at almost 10 more hours into the game, it turns out I need them as pilots and the mission will not activate again. I've tried flying around all the Oman stations and docking to them, and the guy who talked to me the first time isnt there anymore.

So do you guys know how I can modify my savegame to fix this problem? I played around with it in a hex editor and cant seem to create a working file. If anyone wants to take a look at it:
