End of Act2...stumped again

The heavy corvette takes more punishment but then it would need to seeing as it's so sluggish. I felt much safer in the patcom.

I've really gotten better at the side to side strafing, with the patcom I can just run circles around enemies, with the heavy corvette I need to come up with a different tactic, I'll try it out for a little while though, the patcom's speed makes it so fun to fly but if your not careful in it you can easily overshoot things

hwile we're on the subject of ships I've mad a little observation, tell me if I'm wrong: on all of the ships their side to side, forward and reverse speeds are all equal right? With the physical difference in the size of the side thrusters and the size of the main rear thrusters, shouldn't your actual forward/reverse speed be faster than your side to side, I've noticed that I can strafe just as fast as going full blast forward[?]

Simple answer... yes.

Look forward to some mods (in the future) which aim to change this, along with other inconsistancies in the game.

No problem Shane . While I have ya here I was gonna ask a mod question even though it's off topic: as far as the elite mod to increase difficulty, is the one I'm looking for the Dark elite mod? and if I do install the mod will it interfere with my SP game that I'm into right now?

I'd imagine Hotfoot is the one to answer this question... he wrote Elite.

However, I've not heard anything from him lately, so he may be away or involved in other projects. If memory serves, Elite and Dark Elite have no POG scripts... the mod uses ini file changes. So it shouldn't have any effect on the SP game.

However, be sure to copy a save game and tuck it away somewhere safe before you install Elite. Just in case it does mess something up, you can restore to the point where you were before.

You might want to read the Elite readme file carefully... Elite (and I assume Dark Elite) are loaded differently than other mods.
