You know, you don't need to say that if you're going to include a key.

this does absolutely nothing. i have docked the training vessel to my ship (since it doesnt do lds on its own). lds worked when approaching the training grounds, but not once i am there moving from waypoint to waypoint. i am getting tired of replaying this one mission.

anyone have better, more detailed advice? any other effective tactics?

Very simple. Hit F6 to approach the first waypoint. The second it goes away (as you pass it) the next point will be targeted. Immediately hit F6 again. And so on and so on.

I've never failed the test using this method, either with or without the t-fighters laying down covering fire.
