help with proceeding beyond Act 2 Miss: 24

i succesfully completed the covert mission in the Dante system, got picked up and all was well. now, i can't seem to be able to 'activate' the last mission in this act, Dante's Inferno. here's a run down of what i've done and what the game tells me i've got left to do.

Objectives:

Seek help outside the hoffer's wake system (not sure of exact text)
Find ehough pilots to fly MCA vessels

those two have been listed almost all the time throughout act 2 the latter appeared last

the last email ive got was from Frank Hoffer, 'From the Kong - Urgent' saying that i should consentrate on the Mwari system, helping the MCA against marauders. i've gone to this system many times but nothing happens when im there, no scripted stuff.

i've read several walkthroughs and faqs and none tell me what i need to do, only to jump to Faust Alpha L-point (no on my contact list/starmap/location finder mod) and talk to Hoffer.

has the game screwed up or is there something im missing?
the 'Find ehough pilots to fly MCA vessels' objective; which factions should i visist regarding this one?

For starters. Check for oustanding missions (shift-L) and make sure you have all your pilots from the three factions.

Also make sure you've done the missions to get the advanced patcom.

the only objectives listed are those i posted before;

"Seek allies for the League..."
"Find enough pilots for MCA vessels.."

and ive got the adv. patcom

which are the tree factions? the oman, sheriff and exile?

oman, sheriff, and thirdway
