Problem with the Hide and seek mission

Im up to the hide and seek mission where you have to sneak around dante, but every time i dock to a pod of field generators, nothing happens. Smith refuses to steal one for me. Because of this, I cant finish the game. HELP ME PLEAZ!!!!

Did Smith already chime in with the part about wanting one?
