Corp Holdings Act 2

It always goes into slow mo like in Matrix but stays there when I complete the mission and jump out. I've tried jumping home, to the meeting point and to a random l-point but always the same ending. Slow mo til half an hour later my comp gives up and closes the game.

Anyone got any ideas or have had this happen to then?

what kind of computer do u have... and what kind or hardware do u choose?? or is it your graphics card??

P.S. I have an Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64 and runs fine on my rig...

I've got an AMD 1800, 512 PC2100 DDr, SB PCI128, NVidia G4 Ti4200 128 AGP 8, Win XP Home.

Everything else runs fine, even the other missions and pirating. It's just this mission that I'm having probs with.

Any idea's?

Only guesses:

For just this mission, try setting the graphic quality settings to their lowest levels (in the main EoC screen, Options tab). See if that does anything.

Also, are any mods running?

No confusion; just wrong or right ... Only Solutions

I've tried with and without mods, no difference. Also I'm patched to 14.6 but maybe I'll need to reinstall and paste in saves.

What happens in this mission again? Sequence of events wise? Your machine is much faster than the one I completed the game on.

Because sound has been such a pain with this game, I would disable sound and try the mission. That kind of slow down usually means the game is doing massive polling for some service that is normally very fast. Like video or sound. Or it is searching the hard drive for something it can never find. I am betting sound.

You can turn it off by opening the flux.ini file in your iwar directory and setting disable_sound to 1.
