the heist

hi, it is me again

i appear to be getting this mission out of order as i haven't had
the stepsons attack mission yet.

also i cannot dock with jafs - is this because i am not yet ready
with equipment etc?? i don't have any remote linking stuff and am
still flying the basic tug that i started with. the only extra
goodies i seem to have is an extra pod for missiles and about 10
seeker missiles.

should i go back a couple of save games and consentrate on pirating?
do the upgrades come directly from that or is from subsequent trade??

what if i ignore the heist mission? - will it come back at a later
time?? when i may be ready for it

comments and advice would be appreciated

You can ignore the "Heist" mission for a while until you feel ready for it. It should stay in your objectives list and the game won't advance until you've done it.
Special equipment isn't necessary for the mission though. You just have to be sneaky and use the hints given during the mission (or the Walkthrough)

Are you running the custom Jafs mod? That could explain why you can't dock to him during the mission (you can't dock to him except in that mission anyhow AFAIK)

i seem to have solved the non docking problem. i had two missile
pods installed. i uninstalled one of them and was able to dock
successfully.

now have to learn how to use turret fighters
