So hello! I actually bought EoC on the day of release but I lent it to a friend and I got into other games. Well I was pretty boreed the other day and remembered this game and got it back.
I am in the habit of always going to the forums of the game I am playing and thought I would join this one. I am a pretty good hardware guy and love to help people so if you have any questions I hope I can be of service.
Other than that....hello!

Hello! Welcome to the forum.
Since you say you're a good hardware guy, how about this:
I'm getting a new hardrive soon, and I currently have a 30gb maxtor and a 10gb compaq piece of crap that I'm replacing. Currently I'm running Windows 98SE off the 10gb. I'm thinking about using this hardrive switch as a chance to get XP and put it on the new drive, and transfer 98 over to the 30gig, and then running a dual boot. What advice would you suggest considering that my knowledge of hard-drive formatting is pretty basic.

Hello Hiteche5 welcome to the forum.
btw Ericman your going to need to get your hands on a boot disk I can't remember the name of the one a friend used on my machine but when I find out I'll let you know.
though I'm not to sure if you can duel-boot with XP and 98SE but I might be wrong on that point.?

heyas Jwk. Well I have played...
1. The whole X-wing series
2. The whole wing commander series
3. The whole privateer series
4. The whole Elite series.
I'll help with any mods
Ericman..Hope this helps you....
1. Install the new drive and turn on the system
2. Use 98SE to format the drive
3. Install XP to the new drive using a NEW installation.
4. XP will "see" the 98SE volume and automatically configure a dual boot for ya
Hope this helps ya. My e-mail is open to ya so feel free to drop me a line. I currently use XP and me likes it alot!
