Hi, um I'm probably in the wrong forum but here goes.
I was wondering if it was possible to modify the turrets of the Heavy Destroyer so as to make the weapons on them changeable inside the base, in this case I was thinking about the Heavy Destroyer that is player controlled when using this mod 7X_multiship_Mod.zip/Multiship-mod3.zip.
Any hints/help/suggestions would be welcome.

I was thinking that maybe it is possible to do it with modified Auto docking turrets somhow.
I'm not to sure I only just started on modding, you know start with the little things, that kind of thing.

Hmm I'm sure you could use auto docking turrets with different avatar setups so they look like the destroyer turrets, but then again auto docking turrets are AI turrets too. I'll try a few things, in the meanwhile someone more experienced than me might be of more help.

Hey sounds great, like I said any help will be welcome
I'm also trying a few things that might or might not work.
In the mean time i'm playing with the Fuch Shock Turret V1.2 Mod, if nothing else that should ensure that i get some turrets with a serius kick.

Hmm I can't really think of anything, it might not be possible to change the turret's weapons inside the base, since basically a turret is a weapon by itself, if this makes any sense... What kind of weapon it is is determined by this in the turret's .ini file :
projectile_template=ini:/sims/weapons/pbc_bolt
so, the only way I can think of to change a turret's weapons is by editing their .ini files and make the above turret an assault cannon turret for example :
projectile_template=ini:/sims/weapons/assault_cannon_bolt
I dunno, I guess if you want realism you can buy a bunch of assault cannons to pretend you're upgrading your pbc turrets and change the .ini file to upgrade them... or something like that lol

Defenitly an option, but it means going in and out of the game a lot, but hey who would'nt want to have an assault cannon turret on their ship eh ?
