EOC developer is no more... was created by Stephen Robertson PS
This morning the entire staff of nearly 40 people at Argonaut Sheffield (formerly Particle Systems) - including me - were laid off / made redundant, and the studio closed down. Our parent company is in financial difficulties and had already shed 55 jobs at its London office.
It's not a tremendous shock - I realised a while ago that it could happen, but it's still an upsetting time.
I'll still however be as big an I-War fan as all of you are, and I'll continue to post on this and the Atari I-War forums. I'll remain an active member of the community and still endeavour to answer your queries as best I can.
And there WILL be more paper models from me. I'll probably have a bit more time to make them now. <rolls eyes>
I wish to thank you all for your loyalty and support over the years, it really makes producing the games seem more worthwhile.

Thanks Stephen. You've been such a valuable part of the community and always a tremendous help, particularly to me with my EoC modding book in the works.
Sorry to hear about the closure. But an experienced developer like you should have no trouble finding a new place to call home. Best of luck.
With the Star Wars mod about to go beta (and get a name, finally) I'm bound to start working on the book again, so I'm glad to hear that you'll still be around. I would say that a thanks to you would be in order, for your loyalty and support to the fan community.
So just relax and enjoy making some new paper models for a while. I'm sure you'll be back on top in no time.

I'm very, very sorry to hear that Steve. I got the impression you had great fondness for Particle Systems/Argonaut Sheffield and what they accomplished.
PS/AS will be sorely missed. This industry really needed imaginative and quality products (and I'm not just speaking of the I-War series... the latest release, Powerdrome, is great also).
A don't think a person of your talents and dedication will stay unemployed for very long.
Should you ever need references from rabid fans you've got mine.

I echo all the sentiments here Stephen. An excellent innings mate with a sincere wish your talents find a home worthy of you.
Best of luck!
