I tried to send this to Soup, but the addy he has posted now in the forums (enquiries@) doesn't work. Since this isn't a terribly private EMail - I'll post it here.
Soup,
My name is Geoff, I'm sort of a new-comer to the Indie War community, though I've been lurking for about a year or so. Recently located my Indie War 2 discs and was... inspired, so to speak.
I decided to begin working on a Space-sim (general) website with IWar being the primary focus until I finish the layout/design and get some community interest built up.
I made a post about it here:

What's the inquiry?
Well, I sat back and thought about it for a while (along with a suggestion from an ataricommunity person) that I might offer my PHP/SQL knowledge to help you expand the community capability of your own site. I do realize that IWar/IWar-2 is a rather aging community, but nothing says it can't be kept going.
I don't know if your host supports PHP/SQL or not, but if it does, here's what I can do for you (and this makes site management so nice and easy):
Make the entire site into a set of scripts that swiftly generate pages from data inside of a database. It's easier to organize, maintain and add/remove from (Especially with half-decent administration scripts).
Why would I offer this?
Simple, just want to get my feet wet and get a better idea of how the IWar community works. My own site will definately be a space-sim junkies collaborative project, since I'll definately cover a broader topic then one game in this space-sim genre.
If this would be of help, in any way, let me know. I need access to nothing to complete these things - my scripts are, for the most part, plug-and-play. (I do see that your forum is ASP based, but there are a lot of ASP hosts that also offer PHP/SQL as a backend along with ASP).

Awesome, hope to hear from you.
I've actually begun the design (code/DB) process of my own site.
