Banners Anyone?

Very cool Roi. But the inside drop shadow on the top text doesn't really work with the dark background. Too bad to, it's a nice idea. It gives it a nice 3D effect.

Also, I would seriously suggest using either the official SW typeface or the I-War typeface. And it needs to be resized to banner proportions. Good start.

of course this banner shows NOT a X-Wing model made by you.
This one is really looking great - very detailed and proper proportioned. As far as I remember I ordered this pic from Lucas Arts directly.

There is no safe distance

I want to finally clear out the following:
To have a standard design, we need a "Banner Design Head", what IMHO is Tarcoon. (b/c that I support SC in his opinion that we need a list who is responsible for what)
The reason for that nomination is that we have simply no time to discuss long about such things like Banner appearance. So I would prefer if one says what to do with Banners: Tarcoon.

The second possibility/the alternative is that we have more than one of banner designs. With this maybe we could approach to a bigger audience but two disadvantages:
The characteristic of uniform will be lost.
It would need more time (discussions) that could be used for more important things.

Referring to another post of Tarcoon (thread: www.i-war2.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1698 ), his design is:

• Minor letters
• Non-SW font
• Non 3d font

Needed improvements for Tarcoons design: The font has to be better readable. So I recommend a bright border (like I did with "Eternal Defiance" with the border lighting of the font).
Wishes: Transparency.
EDIT: I just read your mail. The StarWars font seemed better to me.
