The game looks like a FPS/Space Combat combiner - I will surely check it out. It reminds me of a game I played on the first Xbox a while back were you played as a mercenary and in between the battles you had to fly around in your ship. You could even leave the controls and run around in your ship while it kept flying. I just don't remember the name...

Thanks for the ES pointer I have Source so will try this. Mace Griffin was the poor mans Halo - not a bad game on the PS2.
