I have a KT600 chipset motherboard, and EOC works fine. Movies and everything.

@Stephen Robertson : Thanks for the Info. I installed my NForce2 Board again. and guess what..it wasnt the board after all...
i still have the same problems. I mostly freezes before or at the beginning of a movie.
Could it be that one of my codecs interfers? I know that i had trouble playing Worms Armageddon because of Nimo Codec.
Now im using Tsunami 3.9.9. Very very rarely i am able to enter the game. Maybe once every 100 times. but then the texture flickering is bad...maybe i should turn off anisotopic filtering.
i would really love to play the game again. i never finished it and my last savegame is from november 2003.

The game uses Bink from Rad Game Tools for its movie playback, so it's unlikely that codecs would cause that particular problem, as Bink isn't 'codec' as such - it's a completely separate movie playback system.

Well ... i thought of SATA and its drivers ... maybe that could be a problem...or maybe one of Microsofts Patches...
im pretty much on the end of my Latin...last time i played it i had a KT400 installed...and rest of the hardware is still the same.
here my specs.

Athlon XP 3200+
512MB Geil
Geforce FX 5800 Ultra (56.72 Drivers)
Hercules Game Theater 7.1 (6.09 Drivers)
Chaintech 7NJS Ultra
Saitek X36 USB Combo
240 GB HDD all up.
Windows XP RUU + SP1

Thats basically most of my hardware...exept Monitor and external stuff.

But i didnt have any trouble before...and still have no trouble with any other game

My experience with XP is that it often ignores a motherboard change and just keeps on using (or tries to use) the old vga drivers.

I run a nf2 board (A7n8x without SATA) and have no problems at all with EOC.

imo, If your flux.ini doesn't show a driver, flux isn't using/finding a driver and thus can't display the game.

Take a look at your flux.log file where it does the 3d driver stuff.
If you want, you could post that first part of your flux.log.

Here we go...it seems like it found the driver.
But the weird phenomenon is that whenever i try to open the Iwar installation folder or the iwar cd in explorer, it takes like
10 sec to come up...no other folder behaves like that.
