I'd like to build a mod for adding NPC ship names.

I've been playing I-War 2: EoC since... well... since the week it came out.  It's been one of my faves and I just found some old savegames from 2014 when I went on a tear, pirating as much as I could.

Now that 2025 has hit, I'd like to build a mod for adding some more NPC ship names.

"Why?" you ask.  Good question - it doesn't do much for the gameplay except immersiveness, I guess...   3 Yogic Flyers came through one L-Point while I was stalking and I wondered - really, how hard might it be to find the lookup tables that govern ship's names and append them?  I'm willing to build comprehensive lists of new ship names (~15,000 should do, I think), and I'm happy to craft the tables and code.

I don't have the first clue, however, how to find the right subroutine in the game and add pointers to the formatted table I'd need to create...    Any hints from the assembled august personages and excellent modders?

BTW - I will be taking suggestions for at least a little while for ship names to add: just don't suggest Boaty McBoatface.
