Dante's Inferno... I can knock out all three bases, but how do I get the Carrier? and survive the last part of the mission! I keep getting blown up before I get to the carrier.

It depends a great deal in what equipment you're using.
A corvette (takes a lot more puishment) equipped with t-fighters and cutting beams plus the obligatory weapon load of Missiles and PBC's did it for me. Make sure you save before starting this round. This is the only mission where you can go back to base in between stages.
I ordered my wingmen to protect Hoffer, and it seemed to help. I went after one cruiser first, then took out the carrier then the remaining cruisers. I kept my t-fighter attached, using fire at will.
Cutting beams work pretty good agains capships, so equip yourself with two if you have them.
Alternatively, you could try the "skip-the-battle-bug". Hit space when the cutscene begins.

I just doesn't remember exactly but i think i was using the PatCom
(i dont like the corvette, too slow). With two 'Neutron PBC' and Gattling Cannon. For the T-Fighter i dont think i was using them.
I destroyed the carrier with 20-30 Deadshot Missile and one or two cruiser this just made me win the round. The other ship doesn't seems to count a lot. (the only ally left after the battle was Hoffer, it seems i just get lucky

I'm having a lot of trouble here too. But I'm enjoying the mission so far. I'm trying a combo of disruptors and REM''s , do you think I'll have much success with that?
Should I try and take out the cruisers?

I'd swap the REM's for some Deadshots.

Yeah I got rid of the REM's but still I had no luck. Then out of exasparation I loaded the corvette with seven Quad's and then just sorta managed to fluke a result <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
Saying that tho loading up with Quad light PBC's has gotten me thru several tough encounters.
