I think I messed up

When I was playing the game in act2 I got a mission from the MCA about tracking down the marauders useing the sensor ship. The mission was called Blood Hound and in the end I destroyed the marauder base with the ram ship and I flew home but now I haven't heard anything from anyone and I think I wasn't meant to do that mission so soon and now I think I have messed up the story line of the game can anyone tell me if I haven't messed up and the game is still right.

The missions in Act two do not neccessarily follow each other numerically. A lot depends on what missions you have achieved so far.

The next mission Grassy Knoll relies on the completion of Mission 5 Blockade Runner, this mission in turm relies on you having all your pilots an so on... Press Shift L to see what outstanding missions there are and that you do have all your pilots.

Lastly it's also not unusual for missions to have large time gaps in them.
