Trouble with Oman: Cunning

Hi all...

I took a look at the FAQ regarding this mission and I"m still having a bit of trouble with it...first and foremost because I don't get briefed on approach to the waypoint and it's been long enuf since I tried it that I only vaguely remember that I need to fly the waypoints and avoid the gunstars.

Second, a couple questions on the FAQ's solution: Answer 1 suggests using your LDS drive, but it seems that every time I do I get kicked back out to my ship and fail the mission...I'm assuming 'cuz I left the area...am I doing this wrong??

Answer 2 also suggests waiting until you get the 'Self Defense program'...I've been lookin 'n' lookin and haven't had it show up on the list yet...is there a certain point at which this should show up???

I say just leave your tfighters in the area. They'll distract the gunstars just enough that you can get by.

For the lds thing, make sure your throttle is set very low. Otherwise you'll leave the area very fast.
