Missile dodging

What is the best way to dodge missiles when flying the tug and the adv patcom?

Wait until the missile is very close (the warning beeps speed up as the missile closes with your ship) and then use the left or right thrust override keys to dodge the missile.

Objects in EoC suffer from inertia. Since missiles move very very fast, they cannont make course changes as quickly as a tug/patcom.

One method I use every once in awhile is to just hold down the forward thrust override. After a little bit, you'll start to go faster than those missiles will travel.

Thanks you two but Shane, I'll tried your method every time but the sideway thrusters of my Tug seem less accurate then the accuracy of a missile

It does take some pratice... and a little dash of luck.
