Problems about running the game

When I'm in the space,sometimes when the NPC is about to say something ,then the game will stop before they speak and I have to end the program...
I think it's a bug ,so it's there any patch?

Well, theres the 14.6 patch which is always a good idea, since it prevents some nasty script glitches and general hassle.

Does it have something to do with hardware?

Same problem here, on occasion people want to talk but it freezes just as their vid window shows up (and just before they talk)...

I asumne you uninstalled (that includes deleting the IW2 root) the game and reinstalled it to try if your problem is fixed that way?
Do you have any mods installed? Do you have anything else done with the game that could be catagorised under 'custom'?
