No CD needed ?

just wondering if there is anyway to run EOC completely from the hard-drive, you know, copy all video files on the CD to a folder and have EOC access it instead of the CD ... just to make for a smoother experience ?

it's not a big issue ... but just wondering.

You can copy the folder "movies" from the CD to your EOC directory (into the same folder that "resource" folder is in).
Then change your flux.ini (make a backup first) to look like this:


[FcResourceManager]
search_paths[0] = .\resource
search_paths[1] = .\streams
search_paths[2] = .\movies
search_cd = 0
generate_access_log = 0

You will still need the CD to start the game, but it won't look for the movies (or some of the other stuff) on the CD anymore.

excellent ... thanks MajorTom thats just what I wanted to know ... leaving the CD in the drive to start is no problem I just wanted the ingame access to be slicker.
