IWAR2 eoc patch 2 problem

i had to reinstal the game and when i went to install the patch it says that it is already installed. i even went through my registry deleting all entrys pertaining to independence war but the problem remains.

i have
xp sp2
athalon xp 2500+
radeon 9600se
SB Audigy gamer
k7n2 Delta series mobo

anyhelp would be appreacated.

First check this:
Goto HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE/Software/Particle Systems/Edge of Chaos/Settings
Double-click on Version and change to decimal if necessary: change 14 to 10
Try to reinstall the patch 14.6

Did it work?

It may be a problem with SP2 either...



There is no safe distance

My EoC install CD has the patch on it. Maybe yours does too? Start the game and see if there’s an “Extras� button. If there is, then you really do have the patch already installed.
