demo wont work right

piv 2.26 with geforce4TI4200 and 1 gb ram with 533 FSB..
IW2 demo...tutorial starts but the ship is in a continous tragectory of SouthWest...the ship just wont stop moving so I can go through tutorial..

?

Since you have 1GB of Ram I'm guessing you have WinXP?

The game wasn't designed for XP but usually does run on most XP systems. I'm not so sure about the Demo though.

a)Try running the demo in Win98 Compatibility Mode?

b)If you have a joystick or game pad connected to your PC try removing it/them and run the demo in "keyboard only" mode, just to see if that might be the problem.

If you live in a country that uses "," as a decimal point and "." as a thousands seperator there could also be an issue with that. But before we get into that, try the other 2 suggestions above first.

I think it is a simple joystick calibration problem.
I had the same probs too.
Go through the calibration procedere and it will be fine:)
