Any difference in the drives?

Basic, pursuit, or interceptor, I don't see any real difference in acceleration. Is it just me?

I don't really notice a difference either, so if there is one, it's a pretty small difference. Drives are probably just one of those things that was never implemented into full usefulness.

Hello Madman. There is a difference between the drives. Here's the specs from the ini file:

Basic Drive

minimum_efficiency=0
hit_points=1000

repair_rate=100
heat_rate=300
effectiveness = 1.0

Persuit Drive

minimum_efficiency=0.1
hit_points=1000
power=1100
repair_rate=500
heat_rate=350
;faster than most, base Z accel x1.1
effectiveness = 1.1

Interceptor Drive
; System properties
minimum_efficiency=0.1
hit_points=1000
power=1200
repair_rate=500
heat_rate=400
;the fastest drive their is - base *1.2
effectiveness = 1.2

As you can see, there is a difference. Just not much of a difference.
