Oops, forgot the glossary:

rel-v = "Relative Velocity", your speed relative to some other object.

ref-v = "Reference Velocity", the velocity of L-points, planets, and stations, best described as "zero".

And delta-v is the change in velocity, you for got that one, although you do mention it in your main reply.
