Wow!! Those look really good Vali! I especially like the refugee habitat module. And the patcom gunstar is awesome. I am just wondering how the heck I am going to texture all that. They look to be even more difficult than your ship. Could you send all those models to me at ( mourfin IGNORETHIS PART at spymac.com )? I will start looking into how I can texture them all.

(And I guess I had better make a nice team sig for you ;))

It’s good to see that I can be of some help.:)
The e-mail is on its way. Except my ship everything, else is under 800 polys.

I also sent you a hull plate texture. I’ll send some more images later.
In the meantime I’ll be working on the ships weapons.

If you have anything else to model just tell me.

Ignore all the Uppercase T's and it should be fine.

Now keep in mind that I have never textured such complex models. I really have no idea how to do it, but I will start looking into it. Maybe Shane or SecondChance know of some basic approaches I could use.

The sticky thread at the top here might be useful. :D

Just remember, you need a custom made texture for every surface. And don't use Lightwave's texture control tools, because EoC won't accept them. That means no repeating textures, no flipping textures and no positioning textures by hand. Just apply the map and hit "auto size" to make it fit. So you're going to need textures specifically designed for each surface.

Any questions, please feel free to ask. Texturing in Lightwave really is a piece-O-cake.

edit - I've just revised the main tutorial to include the latest info.

If you guys are really gearing up to do a bunch of new models, I suppose I could do a Lightwave surfacing tutorial if someone asked for it.

Resent the e-mail. The address was correct.
Maybe there was too much traffic and it didn’t get to its destination.

Just in case this doesn’t work I already gave the e-mail to GrandpaTrout.

The e-mail got to Grandpa but I don’t know why it can get to yow. Are you shore you have enough space for e-mails left?
Maybe zapp can’t support the spymac format.
