We have a further addition to the Modder section. Posted with the kind permission of Qlippoth, the Mod Primer page sets out to explain in basic detail how you can modify your ships. Over time, this section will include stuff on ships systems and sound FX. Also there's an update to the Mega Freighter mod on the Download page. This now has a clearer installation description plus modifications to the weapons, notably the defence turrets.

Hi all! I have made some organisational changes to the site. The download section is now split into three areas separated into downloads for I-War 2, I-War 1, and Support Tools. All this is for preparation for the many mod downloads we can begin to expect. Speaking of which, we have a new mod from Jimbob55 that enhances the drives on your pods, thanks Jim. We also have a mod for choosing which ship you would like to fly, both this mod and the Pod mod take advantage of the new F14.6 patch. The Ship Player mod was contributed by the tireless Greb and Lorque. Thanks lads.
Those of you having problems with the latest patch (I know our German colleagues are) can visit the Technical FAQ section, where there is a small item on graphic incompatabilities.

More mods have been added to the download section. There's a comprehensive modification to weapons and systems mod, well worth a look. Plus, a mod with an updated French text content. Both mods contributed by Jet. We also have a Super MegaFreighter mod posted here by nrc. It can carry a whopping 174 cargo pods making Jaffs an even bigger liability! On the Mad Stories section, I've added a page called Short Stories, which is dedicated to those who have had wierd experiences during gameplay. any additionsto this page are surely welcome.

Hi fellow Eocians. I have added a new page to the download section. It displays a Top 25 listings of your favourite downloads, with direct links to the files. Every Sunday it will be updated, and include what's going up, down or staying where it is. I'll also be doing a similar page for the modders section (next week) and missions (once they start appearing). On the Download section we have a Starmap Reference deluxe version which includes extra stations and maps of the clusters.
Lastly, the Manoeuvres section has been updated - new inclusions are at the top of the page.

Hi. We have six more new mods on the newly revamped downloads page for I-War 2. A selection of ships, including some old favourites back in the fray, from the eager modder Qlippoth - thanks mate. Re the new download layout, I've done this to tidy up the look. However, I have used some dynamics to provide information. These should be compliant with Netscape 4.08 and IE 4 upwards. Please let me know if you get any techncal issues.
Cheers

On the Download page; Updated German EoC FAQ is now up. The latest version includes a fix for the Desktop Crash caused specifically, and apparently only, in the German EOC Version as well as other additions. There are also updates to the Standard Starmap Reference (English version) and some minor fixes to the Weapons and Systems Tweaks. We had a minor (I hope) issue with the new Download page. I've shifted the info pop-ups to the extreme right. Again let me know if you're having any issues with this.

Stephen Robertson of Partcle Systems and the author of the Custom Jafs mod, has released a new mod called Location Finder. The mod adds a new screen to the single player game that shows a list of all stations and lagrange points in a solar system in alphabetical order, making it easy to find a particular location.
When you've found a location in the list, you can then set a waypoint for the location and use the autopilot to take you there.
The mod was coded entirely in the game's Pog scripting language, and the source code is included for those who are interested in the game's scripting capabilities.
It's here under Associated Mods on the Download page. Enjoy!

G'Day Eocians. Qlippoth has released a new mod for the tug. No changes to the original specifications here, merely a fix to the sound FX - a must if you're a perfectionist as I'm sure we all are. A further two new mods have been added to the Associated Mod section; an Executor Class Interceptor and the Mantis/Wasp class Navy Fighter courtesy of Skyquake. All as always can be found on the Download page. A little fix to the download page. I've now figured out how to pass style classes to the popup info. It was staring at me, but the brain just didn't want to know. So we should all be seeing the same font sizes and no text should run off the end.
Lastly; I shall be tending to the other pages here and updating the FAQ over the week. Also, I'm expecting further information on the modding section. And we have a slightly off-topic story coming here soon. So watch this space.

Hi All. We have a few more mods on the Download page. Notably the Elite mod (no reference to the game). This mod really tests your skills as it leans heavily to making your life tougher by giving more clout to the AI ships and lestening your systems response - not for the feint hearted. Be warned this is a pre-beta mod, still undergoing development, but well worth a look. Jet has converted the Location Finder mod for our French speaking nationals. We also have an update to the German FAQ which now includes the addition of all the official EoC websites.
And finally, we have some weird experiences of users of EoC in the Short Story section.

Hi, I-War2.com introduces an ongoing space thriller written by Kr4z3d, a veteran of the INA Community. Called The Pleiades Incident, it is an ongoing creation. The start of which includes the Prologue and the first chapter The Awakening. Further chapters will be added over the weeks. It's well worth the read, even if there is this certain enigmatic character in the storyline .
