Well here we are the first launch of the Independence War - Edge of Chaos community site. I intend to fill this site with all things I-War.

The game has kicked off in Europe and is due for launch in Canada and the USA in August. It's proving to be a tough game for those of us who have started but it's well worth the effort.

On a last note - it's early days. If any user gets frustrated with things not here and/or missing. Then by all means scream. Suggestions are always welcome.

Ha! the sites been up for one day and already it's undergone changes. I've scrapped the frame idea and tightened it up to fit 800 x 600.

A few more links have joined the list - need more!! Further stuff to come on board in the very near future:

Acts
Game Tactics
Game Scripts (hopefully)

I'll try and make the information more specific, to save on finger clicking - but not too much, I want you to visit the sites herein, there's plenty to chew on.

Whoo! Day three and I haven't been slated - there's still time :). Anyway, a request answered, for those of you awaiting EoC's arrival in your respective countries and who haven't the time, inclination or the technology to download the demo. I have placed the demo manual to give you a taste of things to come. Here you go Matt your prayers answered. Have a nice day!
Talk about planning ahead - which I evidently haven't. Some supple changes to fit in all those long titles. I think that's it as far as the layout goes.

More links - Nice! We shouldn't be too surprised - I'm finding stuff everyday. A lot (it has to be said) are dying remnants of a war long since past (I-War 1) and not kept up-to-date - so they have not made it here. But some have kept the flag flying. Which makes this site all worth while.

Hi, just added the bugs and fixes page which as a starter, contains the latest European patch. I've received a lot of material and over the next week, I will be putting it up on site.

Lastly, I've neglected playing the game while building this site, so I'll be behind the controls tonight. Expect some mad ramblings on my progress. If anyone has any questions they want to fire at me, please feel free to send an email. You can also get really good help on the ina forum.

Good morning to those this side of GMT. A new section for the Community, Mad Stories gets its first showing with a contribution from Knight Delta. If this doesn't get you drooling - nothing will. Thanks Knight'.

WARNING! some of you may feel this is a SPOILER, I personally don't think so, but it does give you an incite into the type of missions you can expect. If anyone else has a story to rival Knight's, send me the content via email.

Going up later today are the Act and Mission walk-throughs and some more links. God bless.

Well I've started and posted the Act and Missions section up to act one. There's also an FAQ, which will get more extensive over time. Slightly harrassed as my FTP went down after I'd spent three hours sorting these pages out. Hmmmm, I'm going to bed!

The Independence War site has completed compiling its very own official technical and general faq. Thank god. My brain was hurting. Anyway, I'll make it a permanent link under the Edge of Chaos menu later.

To help users navigate - a Starmap Reference Guide has been compiled by PS and can be downloaded from here. It is a zipped up HTML site.

A couple of days peace and quiet, and we're down in the shed at the bottom of the garden - figuratively speaking of course. What have we done? Well I've finished off Act 2 under the Acts section. The gameplay and technical faq (courtesy of PS) is a permanent fixture. I've also added the navigation chart (thanks to Vincent Formosa) - it needed a bit of tweaking (uurgh Frontpage).

In between adding more general links I'm now embarking on a missions script database. There are loads out there albiet for I-War 1 - but it's an opportunity to dust off the old beast and breathe new life into it. Particle Systems are intending to bring out some goodies for modular and mission support. So we can expect plenty of new stuff occupying this database in the future.

We've had many a visit - averaging 87 sessions a day and from all round the globe - god bless you lovely people! :) Which brings me to the subject of providing a less anglo-centric site and providing stuff for our global compatriots. If you'd like to put something up here for your country or even set up a site - I can send you the template, it's easy to use - and I'll link to it. I'll work on something this end, just to show I mean what I say.

Lastly, this is a one man show, so if you don't find anything here to help you, do keep coming back, I'll get it there in the end.

I updated the faq page yesterday. Primarily because some of the links to the forums were full of too much off topic instead of answers to the original query. They do like to chat over at the INA - they're a friendly bunch :)

Anyway I've hard coded the answers - most of them have come from Parias - thanks. I will have finished the mission script listings - expect to see them up around 10pm GMT.

Next in line is a complete breakdown of the Ships and Weapons database. EoC has an extensive encyclopaedia, I aim to make the data here more diagramatic. Most of it will be done over the weekend - so expect to see something up by Monday.

Hello good people. Well, lesson one - re: mission script database - don't put a time of delivery. Sorry about that, I know you're just "chumping at the bit" to see it.

NEWS: Starship Repulse have launched their Forum. I took a look earlier it's all in that enigmatic cool grey - so get over there.

As per my last message, I've found some French and German sites to put up under the links - so I'm doing my bit - what are you doing? Come on lets hear from ya :)

NEWS: An in game extension of the Starmap Reference Guide is available from the IndependenceWar site it bolts straight into the encyclopedia. Honours go to Jet from the UK Edge of Chaos.

Hi, well we've finally got the mission scripts page up with a supporting download page as well. The first MOD for EoC can be found on the download page - courtesy of The Merciful otherwise known as Juha Kuusela. As a matter of courtesy I should direct you the Particle Systems Modders page now set up for EoC.

The FAQ has been updated here and the Technical FAQ over at Particle Systems has also been updated.

Lastly, you will have noticed a few national flags showing up on the links. I aim to be international here, so they'll be more to come. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi all. We've been a bit quiet these past few days. I've got a few more links to add, these will go up over the coming days. And a chap called Corwyn has done a German version of the starmap mod which can be downloaded from Particle Systems Mod page.

What am I doing now? Well I'm eagerly awaiting the necessary modder tools, which promise to be a more polished for this version of I-War. And I'm slowly getting this Ships and Weapons database up and running - I'm pushing to get this done for the following weekend. Ha!

Saturday, July 28, 2001
G'day citizens. I've added more links under the forum and clan areas. The English version of the Edge of Chaos Starmap has been updated with some minor fixes. So if you downloaded before, you can update.

We're starting to see the cheats for EoC turning up on the Net. Just to let you know I won't be posting them here - stuffy of me or what? Is this the face of concern?

NEWS: Some of you may be frustrated getting through the MCA Terraforming mission. Please read the section under Bugs & Fixes.
