I managed to snag a copy of Independence War/Defiance off Ebay, but have yet to boot it up. [V] Time permitting, I hope to do so soon. Judging from the rave reviews it's gotten (after what? Five years?), I'm looking forward to an impressive game. Rare that a game stands the test of time so well.

Trying to get my responsibilities finished in Epic, I just don't dare fire I-War/Defiance up yet; I'm afraid I'll lose two months of my life! I'd thought about just watching the intro movie everyone still talks about, but dont quite dare: I'd end up playing "just the first mission". And so on, and so on...

Luckily, I have an older machine with a Voodoo card standing by. (When anyone in my family upgrades to a new computer I'm always standing by to make an offer on their old one! ) So I'll be ready when Epic is released!
